While reading Part 4 of Wren Island with Wallace Around, watch for these places influenced by readers and real life.
Readers determine how Amelia makes use of found plastic pieces.
Earlier in the story, when Amelia discovered bits of plastic garbage while walking on the beach, readers suggested creative ideas for how Amelia might put them to good use: mosaics, wind chimes, confetti, sculptures, stained glass facsimiles, and more. At the beginning of Part 4, we’ll see Amelia’s creative efforts unfold.
We’ll also see Ed unfold a project of his own when he asks Amelia an unexpected question. But is Ed asking what Amelia thinks he is? Or is Amelia misinterpreting Ed’s question?
Melissa reveals more of her past.
So far, Melissa has dodged questions related to her career, and readers have been asking why. Is Melissa embarrassed about her work? Is she hiding something?
A stronger Wallace won’t be afraid to show emotion.
Ever since tragedy occurred at the end of Part 2, readers have been asking if Wallace is going to be okay. It’s difficult to see someone we love experiencing grief, isn’t it? Especially when we’ve known that person to be unshakably rugged. Now, a stronger Wallace will acknowledge grief continues to shape him.
While monitoring Pinch Hitter’s movements, the guys will draw suspicion from law enforcement.
Wallace’s special cigars will make another appearance—but ensuring the right person smokes the right cigar might get complicated.
Jeeps purchased in Hawaii are delivered to Wren, same day goats from Reclamation Island.
The beauty of interactive serialized fiction is the writer often doesn’t know more than the reader about where the story’s going. Ever since spick-and-span Allison arranged for two collectable Jeeps to be shipped to Wren, I’ve wondered if the vehicles would still be in pristine condition 2,500 miles later.
And from the beginning, Amelia has worried Virgil might not be thrilled with Allison’s choice of a birthday gift for 15-year-old Jax. Buying his only son his first car seems like something a man might want to do himself, right?
Then Allison requested Wallace pick up goats on Reclamation Island and deliver them to Wren pronto. Against his better judgment, Wallace agreed to transport vehicles and livestock together, same day, same crowded cargo deck.
If all that isn’t a setup for things to go haywire, I don’t know what is.
I’m pleased to tell you Part 4 includes what might go down in history as one of Wren Island’s most memorable afternoons.
Amelia tries to drum up enough courage to reveal her past connection with Wallace.
It’s the conversation readers have been waiting for. Will it finally happen?
Part 4 of Wren Island with Wallace Around will be released on March 20, 2025.
