Fans of Wren Island will recognize Reclamation as a nearby island to Wren. In 2022, I offered an interactive serialized fiction experience called Stories of Reclamation Island. Characters from Reclamation Island continue to appear on Wren Island, and characters from Wren sometimes visit Reclamation.

What is Stories of Reclamation Island about?

Managing her family’s historic, crumbling rental cottages, Lillian Deering is reminded of everything she’s lost. When an unreliable employee appears to need more than a job, Lillian pours herself into renovations of the cottages and the girl. But will Lillian’s restoration efforts backfire?

Hammering out projects for his wife, Henry Deering feels every bit his age and more. So why did he promise large-scale artwork to the local pub? And what if his latest painting proves what Henry fears most—that his best efforts will never be good enough?

A raft of quirky characters, a pod of endangered whales, and a captivating island provide the backdrop for these stories about family, forgiveness, and hope.

Stories of Reclamation Island is no longer available as a free e-book, but you can explore more with a tour of Reclamation Island.
